- Change Management. A CPA firm was merging with a financial organization; the new organization needed to unify its human resources and benefits programs within a matter of months. WON, working with the human resources director, provided expertise in organizational integration, communication strategy, and project and resource planning. Proposals for a new benefit program were adopted and implemented, and a framework for new human resources policies was developed.
- Strategy Consultant. An alliance uniting several multicultural and women's nonprofits with a for-profit company -- each highly successful as an independent entity -- engaged WON to design and facilitate its first-ever strategic planning retreat. With WON's guidance, five CEOs as well as key staff members defined their purpose, vision, mission, and strategy for their shared diversity initiative. They collaborated well among themselves, heightening their teamwork, communication, and use of resources. WON returned to support this collaborative entity in reaffirming its vision, and maximizing its influence and impact through aligned goals and actions.
- Transition Consultant. Engaged by the Board of Directors of a leading New York City nonprofit as interim executive director, WON helped the organization deal with the resignation of its long-tenured executive director. As described by a board member with 40+ years in the multicultural arts arena, WON kept board members "motivated and moving", fully engaged and embracing change. WON's consulting enhanced governance, helped retain key talent, and led to innovative programs during a seven-month transition. After the board hired an executive director, WON on-boarded the new director and led a transition that was seamless for staff, donors, and organization members.
